Good Morning!

So many of you may already know I’m an avid and successful thrifter. I also do a lot of DIY projects too, but I have never shared them with you.

I scored these Casadei mules at my local second hand store for $10. I didn’t quite like the white patent leather buckle they came with, but on further exploration I figured I could just take it off. I did however love the striped print on the rest of the shoe and their pointed toe. The best part is Casadei shoes are well made and retail for hundreds of dollars; so I am sure to get a lot of wear out of them. Also I will be the only one with these upgraded DIY heels. I just love taking something unloved and making it live again!

To do this DIY I just used a sharp x-acto knife. I was careful to go slow as to not cut the fabric layer underneath. I just ran the blade at the edge of the leather until I could pull it away. Then I did the same thing to the other side, but from the inside to protect the fabric. That’s it folks easy peasy. I can’t wait to wear them out and about. My new Hot Dog On A Stick throw back heels. Ha!

I hope this will inspire you to DIY something. Perhaps change the buttons on an old  jacket. Add some studs to the collar of your shirt (something I just did). Or even something as simple as looping some ribbon around the collar of a button up shirt and tying a bow

Now off with you, and go and be creative!

Live. Love. Remember.

If I remember colcerrty, Tesla believed that there was a natural resonant frequency for the earth and if you transmitted at the right frequency, you could transmit the energy around the world with very little loss. Since there were no wires between generator and receiver, all one would need to do to receive power would be to string a wire and connect it to a load. The power was free in the sense that there were no wires going from the generator to your house, so there was no place to install a meter. He was able to light a string of lights, but he also did this out in the middle of nowhere where he didn’t have to worry about people being shocked from induced currents.
