I’m still loving floral for fall so don’t get tired of seeing it, because I try to work it into each season. This dress is a comfy jersey fabric so it’s super easy to work in, and the booties just have a small heel for easy comfort too. I had been stalking these boots in white for about a year, but I did not want to pay $100 for them, and that was the sale price. So I just happen to find one pair at my neighborhood consignment shop, My Girlfriends Closet, and they were my size. Though they were not the white ones I still loved them, and black turned out more Fall/Winter anyway.

It’s getting really cold in Portland so I’m bundled up with an H&M scarf, Arizona denim vest, and warm tights. I must layer, because I’m always cold and I don’t want to wear a parka all day. HE, HE.

My husband and I had a lazy Sunday wrapped up on the couch while his back heels. I hope your weekend was relaxing too!

I guess it was meant to be. I went into one of my favorite stores, Shop Adorn,and there it was. Originally, they did not have it available, but there it was staring back at me and I knew I had to have it.

Dreams do come true.

To the rest of  my outfit! This is the first time I have worn this dress, and I have to say it was just as comfy as can be. The boots are Boutique 58 that I snagged at Goodwill. You can’t go wrong with an over the knee boot. Also, the necklace and bracelet are one of a kind Special Portland creations.

Thank to my BFF Kirsten for shooting these quick snaps for me.

So Here are some more photos from the Dig A Pony shoot. I just had so much fun and Molly is just so fun to work with.

This dress was Molly’s favorite to shoot so we saved it for the piano back drop. This area of the bar was so fun, and on top of this piano there hides a scary secret: Snakes! As we were shooting I noticed they have a jar of liquid filled with a real (dead) snake. Gross, but it makes for a good conversation piece.

Well, it seems Summer weather has past us by, and we have moved on to colder and wetter times. I’m torn by my feelings about the seasons. Summer is so laid back when it come to fashion. Less layers and more skin makes for less decision making. All though, I do start pining for fall wear in mid August, and there is certainly no need for sweaters and boots then.

One Summer item I hate giving up is my open toed shoes, but I hate wet toes and cold feet. My transition solution is to wear socks and tights with open toed shoes. Now don’t get all crazy and think I’m going to start wear flip flops or river sandals with socks; there are some rules here.

Sandals and open toed booties must be heeled and tailored.

Tights must be opaque. I don’t want people to see my toes (no nude stockings.) I think fishnets are ok, but no reinforced toes they must be seamless.

Socks must not bunch or pucker a smooth look is the idea. No Boot socks!

OK, so here are the last summery free toed photos I shall post. We will call it a montage.

I thought I would post a few new pieces I just put together for Tender Loving Empire (I will be dropping them off next week.) They are made from delicate vintage brass chain and reclaimed charms. They are just so pretty and simple, kind of go with anything necklaces.

I’m doing a photo shoot next week for the blog and should be posting some vintage clothes as well. I hope to really get my online presence beefed up.

I’m back after a long break. After I closed the shop I needed some time to regroup and figure some things out. I had a long list of things keeping me from blogging, but I hope to be back on a regular basis.

So when I took these pictures it began pouring rain outside. Yeah it’s July folks. Heatwave? Not so much in the good old town of Portland. Anyhoo, I decided our dark and moody bedroom would have to do. I think it worked OK in a pinch. Also, this outfit is just a t-shirt, jeans and a funny little hat, but I felt happy wearing it. I hope you like it.

I’m now selling my jewelry and vintage clothes at Sweet Jayne in Portland, and I’m helping out there too. I just love it there!

If you guessed two cats you are correct sir. My fine furry friends managed to make their way into my gallery today by showing up on time and really strutting their fluff. I may just have to start thrifting for clothes for them. Oh who am I kidding, I already do. He he he. Cats love clothes, but mainly just the clean ones they can sleep on. Oh yes, back to the blog.
